Occu-Smart® Motion Sensor LED

500,000+ units installed nationwide — 6 core families with Bluetooth, bi-level dimming, and 40–60% energy savings out of the box.

NFPA 101 · Life Safety Code

Why Occu-Smart is built for NFPA 101 compliance

NFPA 101 Section 7.8 requires illumination of egress paths whenever the building is occupied — not at a fixed schedule, not on a wall switch, but tied to actual occupancy. Conventional fixtures left running 24/7 burn energy and shorten lifespan. Hard-switched fixtures fail the spirit of the code when occupancy is uncertain. Occu-Smart sits exactly between the two: every fixture has integrated sensing, dims to a code-compliant low-level baseline when unoccupied, and ramps to full output the instant motion is detected.

Bi-level dimming, default

High and low levels are field-adjustable via Bluetooth — meet the egress illumination minimum at the low state, ramp instantly on detection.

No central control needed

Sensing is per-fixture. Code compliance does not depend on a building management system, occupancy panel, or wired backbone.

VOL GEN6 Voyager flagship

The Voyager platform adds Bluetooth field tuning, time-delay control, and 0-10V output for integration when a BMS is present.

From the Lamar LED heritage

Smart occupancy control, refined over two decades of Lamar engineering.

Lamar LED introduced occupancy-sensing fixtures to specifiers years before bi-level dimming became standard. Clear-Vu Lighting acquired the Lamar catalog and brought the entire Occu-Smart family in-house — same sensor engineering, same union assembly, same Central Islip factory — with the BABA/BAA documentation, DLC qualifications, and full warranty of the broader Clear-Vu platform.

Features & Benefits

Multi-Sensor Technology

Choose ultrasonic (360° coverage, detects through partitions), high-frequency (penetrates barriers, no line-of-sight), or infrared (precise motion, no false triggers). Match the sensor to the application.

Bluetooth Field Adjustability

VOL GEN6 Bluetooth 5.0 enables wireless commissioning via free iOS/Android app. Adjust output power, standby dim levels, time delay, and sensor sensitivity from the ground — no ladder required.

40–60% Energy Savings

Bi-level dimming automatically reduces output during vacancy periods. Typical installations achieve 40–60% energy reduction vs. always-on fixtures — ROI in under 2 years on most stairwell and corridor projects.

Bi-Level Dimming

Occupied mode delivers full output for safety and task lighting. Vacancy mode drops to an adjustable standby level (10–50%) — maintaining ambient light while dramatically cutting consumption. Smooth transitions, no abrupt on/off.

DLC QPL Listed

DesignLights Consortium Qualified Products List certification qualifies Occu-Smart for utility rebate programs nationwide. Reduces effective project cost and accelerates payback on retrofit and new construction projects.

BABA/BAA Compliant

Manufactured at our 100,000 sq ft Central Islip, NY facility. Fully compliant with Buy American Build America Act (BABA) and Buy American Act (BAA) for federal, state, and infrastructure projects.
